Wellington County and Guelph, Ont. – In early 2024, the County of Wellington’s Social Services Department hosted two Health and Housing Symposiums to hear directly from people with lived experience, Indigenous community members, service providers, and local leaders about the urgent challenges in our community. These included limited access to basic needs, affordable and supportive housing, mental health and addiction services, and Indigenous-led supports.
